Le Pays D’Arto (In The Land Of Arto)

Cèline arrives in Armenia for the first time, intending to formalise the death of her husband Arto. She discovers, however, that he has lied to her: he fought in the war under a false identity, and his former comrades consider him a deserter. In an attempt to piece together Arto’s past, Cèline embarks on a new journey: the maimed from the battles of 2020, the veterans of the victories of the 1990s, the shadows of a conflict that seems never-ending. A woman chases a ghost. But how does one bury what keeps coming back? And can the dead truly be saved?
