Born in Varese in 2004 to Sicilian parents, she grew up in Piombino, where she began studying at the Woodstock Academy from a very young age. Now, at the age of 21, she already holds a record: she is the youngest actress to have won two David di Donatello awards and a Nastro d’Argento, Italy’s most prestigious film awards: the David and Nastro for Best Leading Actress for “L’arte della Gioia” (directed by Valeria Golino), a David for Best Emerging Actress and a nomination for Best Supporting Actress for “Familia” (directed by Francesco Costabile, nominated for Best International Feature Film at the upcoming Oscars).

She made a powerful debut in 2021 with the film “La bambina che non voleva cantare” directed by Costanza Quatriglio, in the role of the singer Nada, and it is with the Sky series “L’arte della gioia” (premiered at the Cannes Film Festival) that Tecla confirms her talent as an actress, becoming a role model for a new generation of artists, capable of combining sensitivity, commitment and authenticity in every project she undertakes. A singer and actress, she brings a raw sincerity to every role and every lyric. She is not afraid to show her vulnerability, nor to make her voice heard when necessary.

She speaks of wanting to strike the right balance between the things she does and the things she wants, but above all of seeking an experience that completely challenges her comfort zone, such as going abroad to study acting or taking on ever-changing roles, as she did in the film “L’albero” (directed by Sara Pretaglia), where she tackles the theme of drug addiction. While we await her starring role in a major new film project titled “Idda”, directed by Irene Dionisio, we recently saw her in leading roles in the films “Amata” (directed by Elisa Amoruso) and “Primavera” (directed by Damiano Michieletto), alongside Michele Riondino and Valentina Bellè…. a major Italian-French production for Warner Bros., released in 25 countries. She is currently in cinemas with the new Disney animated film “Jumpers”, in which she voices the lead character, Meable.
