A writer, essayist and playwright, he is regarded as one of the most original voices in contemporary Italian literature thanks to masterpieces such as Seta and Novecento. In addition to fiction, he has also worked as a music critic and playwright, and has frequently contributed to the Italian cultural debate. In 1994, he founded the Scuola Holden in Turin, dedicated to training in writing and storytelling. Translated into numerous languages, his works are read and loved by millions of people around the world.
