Primavera

Early 18th century. The Ospedale della Pietà is Venice’s largest orphanage, but it is also an institution that introduces the brightest orphan girls to the study of music. Its orchestra is one of the most acclaimed in the world. Cecilia is twenty years old, has lived at the Pietà all her life and is an extraordinary violinist. Art has opened her mind but not the doors of the orphanage; she can only perform there, behind a grille, for wealthy patrons.
